So many great ideas in my head swirling all around, but only one at a time, please.

Today was a good day. I showed up at my friend's art exhibit, and he is looking to rent some shared studio space. A perfect collaboration! We had talked about this before, because we both inspire each other a lot, and in different ways. And my space is huge! well, 725 square feet if the lease is correct. I have wanted to do something like this because I really feel the need to be around other artists.

On a side note, I can be very generous with my friends with not just materials, but with my free time, and energy. I definitely need to be investing my time, money and energy into funding a lifestyle that is cohesive and simpatico with my own at this moment.

Focus

I had an awesome studio session tonight with another artist and friend of mine. Great to have some sort of feed back from an experienced artist. I feel as if I am moving in the right direction.

Absence

I have been away from the studio for what is about three weeks now. My poor plants were so thirsty, but i make sure I only buy hardy plants for these kinds of purposes, so I hope they can pull through. The air was even more dry, and stale then usual, if that is even possible. Can an industrial fan help? I wonder. I'm sure that being right above a ceramic studio does not help the air quality at all.

That being said, my studio is a huge mess. Boxes and piles everywhere, with what seems to be junk in every corner. Not very good feng shui. The two tables I have hardly seem to be enough. I really need to get in there and give it some good old fashioned elbow grease. I also need a better organizing system for everything.  Ahh, well I have only been back from the Northwest for a few days now, still getting back into the routine of things, and being back home. In addition, school starts tomorrow.

I have so many inspirations, but they are like wild animals running around my head that need to be caught, and then tamed, and then domesticated as whole species. There are many wild ideas and creative projects I have in mind. But I need to make sure I reign them in, and have enough patience, persistence, and discipline to follow through.

mathematic approximation of the heart shape.
walking through the mill, I found a gorgeous window during the twilight hour on August 17th.
