Bad Poetry
I have always liked poetry, but I don't think I enjoyed it like I used too. There is a lot of bad poetry. I think I will just make visual prose instead. It might be bad, but, oh well.

Just nothing
I read recently.... "the thing about doing nothing is not knowing when to stop" So, getting going and getting the ball rolling you know you want to.

Love Without Incentive
What is love without motive? Can there be love without any incentive; without wanting something for oneself out of love? Can there be love in which there is no sense of being wounded when love is not returned? If I offer you my friendship and you turn away, am I not hurt? Is that feeling of being hurt the outcome of friendship, of generosity, of sympathy? Surely, as long as I feel hurt, as long as there is fear, as long as I help you, hoping that you may help me, which is called service, there is no love. If you understand this the answer is there.

About a year and Serendipity
So it's been about a year and I am almost all ready to move out. Due to health/financial/family/sanity issues, I am getting a live/work space combined to continue my RISD studies, and my personal entrepreneurial goals. Although this school semester didn't turn out as planned, God works in serendipitous ways. The commute was too much, and as an old friend told me, Art is in the community, and I felt too isolated, too far from the core of the city to participate in the community as much as I want. I will be moving right into the heart of Providence.

Exploration
Like Lewis and Clark on an adventure, we explored deeper into the depths of the old mill.... finding treasures and trinkets untold. Seeing things I've never seen before. The documentation of my findings are soon to come. Treasures untouched for over 100 years, Archeological finds of human history, and craft. An unknown artists hands, that work the machines of the past.

Who is Mr Brainwash?
After watching Exit Through the Giftshop 3 times in 24 hours I have been trying to figure out if he is real or not. And its kind of like who came first the chicken or the egg? And why is Banksy so sexy even though you never see his face?

Barbara Kruger
I was turned onto Barbara Kruger when my Intro to Digital Photography teacher (I think his name was John, will get back to you on that) introduced me to her, told me to look her up and I did.

The space of a blog is intimate and public at the same time

studio shots- works in progress.
I plan to paint these frames, a project I started this summer in July. As always, the procrastinator in me hasn't quite gotten around to it yet. I want to paint them a creamy sand color, with a shabby chic crackled texture. The photos placed in the frames will be of my own photography inspired by the beaches of Maine and the ocean culture of the northeast San Juan Islands. I was fortunate to spend time in both coasts of beautiful America this summer, visiting family I don't see often enough.
